Francesca Lewington

Francesca has been practising since 2001. She has particular expertise in crime including specialist and regulatory crime.

She regularly conducts serious criminal trials in cases ranging from murder and serious violence to drug importation and supply, and she also litigates in a range of complex fraud cases. Francesca’s areas of specialist practice include, in particular, health and safety law, environmental law and animal welfare. She has acted in cases concerning a wide range of industries, including farming, construction, fast food outlets and the leisure industry.

She has extensive experience in dealing with expert evidence, having examined and cross-examined experts in a wide variety of cases.

Francesca specialises in cases involving motoring offences, in particular those where there have been fatalities.

Francescas’s public access experience includes representing an animal sanctuary in the High Court.
