Kate joined chambers after successful completion of her pupillage and has developed a busy practice encompassing all of chambers’ practice areas with particular expertise in the practice areas of civil, crime and family law
Kate accepts instructions in all areas of civil law and is instructed to represent clients in the County Court and High Court. Kate has advocacy experience in terms of both interim hearings and trials representing claimants and defendants in small claims, fast track and multi-track claims.
Kate has experience of disputes concerning the sale of land, mortgage possession claims, residential and commercial landlord and tenant matters including service charge disputes. Kate has also received instructions in trusts of land, cohabitation disputes and personal injury claims. Kate has advocacy experience in terms of interim hearings and trials representing both claimants and defendants in small claims, fast track and multi-track claims in the County Court and High Court.
Kate has acted for a full range of clients including individuals, insurers, charities, finance companies and local authorities.
Prior to joining chambers Kate worked as a solicitor’s agent so has had previous advocacy experience representing clients in possession claims against both tenants and mortgagors as well as other general civil litigation.
Kate was graded a Commendation on the Common Professional Examination with the highest mark awarded that year.

Kate has been instructed on cases involving trusts of land and cohabitation disputes.
Kate has experience in various common law matters including tortious disputes, contractual claims and employment matters appearing on behalf of both claimants and defendants.
Kate is happy to accept instructions in general civil litigation including: personal insolvency, debt recovery, charging orders, orders for sale, interim applications, case management hearings and infant approval hearings.
Kate has developed a growing practice in private family law proceedings in the County Court and High Court including applications for Child Arrangements Orders, Specific Issues Orders and Prohibited Steps Orders.
Kate has experience conducting cases where there is an overlap between private family matters and disputes relating to property.
Kate appears in the Crown Court and Magistrates’ Court and receives instructions from both the prosecution and defence. She has been instructed to prosecute and defend a range of motoring offences and is knowledgeable about procedure and practice when dealing with drink driving offences.
