Sophie accepts instruction in criminal, regulatory, local government and public law matters from lay clients. She has experience across the full spectrum of offences, including offences of violence, drugs, dishonesty, driving and sexual offences. She also has experience of regulatory crime, including animal welfare prosecutions.

Sophie has extensive experience in both the Magistrates and Crown Courts, having represented clients in a range of hearings for offences ranging from driving offences to financial offences, to serious assaults.
Alongside the criminal law, Sophie is also experienced in Health and Safety matters, licensing, animal welfare and in defending disciplinary action by professional bodies.
Sophie regularly defends road traffic offences, from first appearances through to trials, special reasons, sentence and exceptional hardship arguments. She has a firm technical understanding of the complexities of the law in driving offences. She is able to provide realistic advice to clients and to clearly explain the Court procedures. She has a fantastic success rate in minimising penalties for driving offences.
